Berthold Kracke has now been formally installed as the new chief executive officer of Clearstream Banking, taking over from Stefan Lepp who decided to leave the company for personal reasons. He joins Martina Gruber and Mathias Papenfuß on the bank’s executive board.
Kracke, who joined Clearstream in 1998, has assumed different management responsibilities in the company, primarily in operational areas. He is currently head of business management, responsible for network management, core product management and controls & quality management.
He has been in charge of a variety of projects to position Clearstream globally, including setting up the operations hub in Prague and the banking branch in Singapore. Before that, he worked at Deutsche Bank AG in corporate and institutional banking, global electronic services.
