Standard Chartered has announced the appointment of Ryan Cuthbertson as Head, Product Management, Custody and Clearing, Securities Services, Transaction Banking. Based in Singapore, Ryan will lead the Custody and Clearing Product team to build and enhance the range of products and services offered by the Bank to its extensive global client list. He will work closely with clients to identify innovative solutions in a changing environment.
Ryan has 20 years experience in the broker clearing, direct and international custody fields and has worked previously in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and UK. His appointment is part of Standard Chartered’s investment programme into the Securities Services business, a key aspect of which is to supplement the existing talent pool with selected hires form the external market.
Ryan will report to Margaret Harwood-Jones, Global Head, Securities Services, Transaction Banking, Standard Chartered, who said “The recruitment of Ryan shows our continued commitment to building a world-class team to deliver market-leading products and services to our clients.”
Standard Chartered’s Securities Services business was re-organised in July 2016, bringing together the Bank’s sales, product, service and technology & operations all under a newly-created global business line within Transaction Banking. The Securities Services business continues to be an established leader across Asia, Africa and the Middle East with presences in 40 markets, serving the largest global custodians, broker-dealers and both international and local institutional investors globally.
