Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) says that ICE Futures Europe, the UK multi-asset class derivatives exchange, will launch Eris standard interest rate futures contracts denominated in euro (EUR) and pounds sterling (GBP) on Monday June 29. 

The new contracts,  Eris Standard EUR Interest Rate futures and  Eris Standard GBP Interest Rate futures, will trade and clear at ICE Futures Europe and ICE Clear Europe. They are based on the product design of Eris Exchange US dollar-denominated Eris Standard Swap future and Eris Flex Swap future contracts.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch will be a participant on the GMEX Exchange when it launches on Friday.



Deutsche Börse reports in its second press release of the day that at Eurex Exchange, the equity index derivatives segment totaled 71.6 million contracts (July 2014: 48.7 million). 

Deutsche Börse has just published its latest turnover numbers. Order book turnover on Xetra, Börse Frankfurt and Tradegate Exchange across all asset classes stood at EUR 137.3 billion in July (July 2014: EUR 99.1 billion).

Deutsche Börse AG has agreed to buy global foreign exchange trading platform 360T Beteiligungs GmbH (360T) for a total purchase price of EUR 725 million.
