SS&C Technologies Holdings, a global provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, has issued details of the leadership team for its recently acquired Advent Software business unit.

Pete Hess, Advent’s president and CEO, will continue to lead as senior vice president and general manager, tasked with overseeing the establishment of two distinct market facing teams within Advent to address key client segments.

One, the Advisory Market Group, will be responsible for serving clients and growing the business within the wealth management and investment advisor market. This group will be led by Dave Welling, formerly the general manager of Advent’s Black Diamond business group, and now Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SS&C’s Advisory Market Group, reporting to Hess.

The other, the Asset Management and Alternatives Market Group, led by Hess, will focus on delivering solutions for the dynamic needs of the traditional and alternative asset management markets.

Additional executives promoted within the Asset Management and Alternatives Market Group include Robert Roley as the head of solutions and client experience, Marc Flamini as head of sales, and Karen Geiger to lead solutions development. Bob Conchiglia has also been promoted to lead sales for the Advisory Market Group.

Mark Wetjen is to join the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) as managing director with responsibility for leading its global public policy function and related business and legal activities. 

The Financial Conduct Authority’s acting chief executive Tracey McDermott today announced the final appointment to the FCA’s Executive Committee with Georgina Philippou becoming the new chief operating officer.

BNP Paribas Securities Services has finally confirmed that Mark Hillman has been named as head of global client services, a newly created role which he assumed in May this year. 

HSBC Securities Services (HSS) has named Rafael Moral Santiago as its new head of securities services, Europe, responsible for the business across Europe and leading its growth agenda.

 

Investec Asset Management has appointed Matthew Oakley as chief technology officer.

 

GBST, a global provider of securities transaction and fund administration software for the financial services industry, says that Ian Jack has joined it as chief executive officer for its Capital Markets business in the UK.
