Stamford Associates names Haggard CEO

Stamford Associates, the investment consultancy, says it has appointed Alexandra Haggard to the newly created role of chief executive officer.

She joins from Russell Investments where she spent 14 years, leading the product and marketing teams, and sitting on the European Executive Committee. She has held a number of other important roles at Russell, including Director of Product Development & Management, and positions in sales and client service across the EMEA region.

She will partner closely with CIO Nathan Gelber, who will retain responsibility for investment decisions, says chairman Roger Cobley.

Haggard said: “The team has a depth of investment knowledge and a capacity for detailed analysis that make Stamford Associates a unique and compelling investment consultancy for today’s investors, who realise how important it is to avoid making the wrong decisions. I look forward to working alongside Nathan Gelber and the rest of the team to continue solving investors’ problems with effective solutions that focus on quality rather than quantity.”
